it would be really great if you could guide me in my quest for the perfect, plain black flats. i have been on the hunt for more than two years [two years! my feet, they are weary.] this whole seeing a pair [or pairs] online, buying them, trying them, hating them, sending them back process has gotten old. free shipping is great; repeated trips to the post office are not. sending some guidance, suggestions, direction would be most appreciated.
by perfect, i mean comfortable and relatively inexpensive [so close michael kors and kenneth cole...twice.] by plain, i mean no adornments whatsoever [good effort, just about every pair i've seen recently.] by black, i mean leather, matte not patent. by flats, i mean little to no heel [nice try, born.]
happy new year from my lego doppleganger. a fairly spot-on likeness, given the massive cup of coffee at her disposal. [thanks to my niece for including lego me in her recent building adventures.]
also, going with today's theme, found this in my morning reading. pretty fantastic.
this is a post about nothing except the fact that my family and i had a conversation about libraries on sunday [hooray for olivia's first library card! watching and listening to kids as they learn to read is magical.] in which it was revealed that my sister does not like them; they are, as she so hilariously put it, "like nursing homes for books."
quite awesome, really, when you think about it.
also: today's shoes are an old favorite. and wow, am i pale. summer cannot arrive soon enough.
